Is it just me, or does this week feel like it is dragging?! At least now it’s hump day so the hard part is behind us! Back before I started meal prepping, it seemed like by the middle of the week, all motivation to prepare a good meal had flown out the window. Hopefully, this post will give you inspiration and a little motivation to stay on track! This week’s dinner meal prep is Philly Cheesesteak Flatbreads!
I know you’re thinking how on earth are flatbreads going to be a healthy option? The answer is the super tasty and lower carb crust: Flatout! Artisan Thin Pizza Crusts! I’m sure you’ll notice in future meal prep posts that I’m absolutely obsessed with the brand Flatout! If there’s a recipe that I think I can incorporate them into, you better believe I’m on top of it! If you’ve never heard of Flatout!, it’s super low carb and jam packed with protein! What more could you ask for, right?! (side note: not sponsored at all by Flatout!, I truly just adore all of their products.)
I guess I get this from my mama, but I refuse to make a dish that calls for a ton of ingredients. This tasty little creation is one of the easiest meals to make and happens to be Mac’s all-time favorite (mine, too)! These Philly Cheesesteak Flatbreads are a staple in our house, mostly because of how simple they are to make! This recipe only calls for 5 ingredients! All you need is lean ground beef (I use 90% lean, but you’re the real MVP if you get the 93%), reduced fat provolone cheese slices, Flatout! Artisan Thin Pizza Crust, bell pepper, and onion. Seriously y’all, that’s it!
Eating healthy shouldn’t be looked at as a ‘diet’, instead you should think of it as a lifestyle. You’ll find that most of my recipes are basic, everyday yummy foods. I simply work through recipes and make healthy substitutions where I can! Once you switch your mind frame and begin looking at recipes this way, it’ll become like second nature, and you’ll be a pro in no time!
Let’s get into the recipe!
